Online Maths Tutoring
Firstly here at AE Teaching we give online math classes. We have digital whiteboards so the students will be able to see the equations as we write them in real time. Second we ask that the cameras are turned on 100% of the time. This helps us teachers a lot as we get good feedback on if the student is taking notes. If they look confused, are they paying attention etc. Above all we teach private individual classes. We do not go group classes. What we do is very different than what the schools did during COVID. The schools had group classes and the students could turn their cameras off. What we noticed is that this does not really work.

What we do is very different than what the schools did during COVID. Since our classes are one to one with the cameras on it feels much more like an in person class. In fact even though COVID is over and all of the teachers and students are here in Barcelona. We still have up to 90% of our schedule as online classes. Students often prefer it because it provides more flexibility. Moreover todays students are very used to do many things online.
Secondly when the teacher writes on the digital whiteboard, that writing and the board can be downloaded as a pdf at the end of class, so students often enjoy having the teachers notes.
Most importantly the traffic in Barcelona has gotten very bad in the past years especially since they have added so many bicycle lanes. To add these bicycle lanes they have taken away lanes from the buses and cars. So even though we live close to our students who live in Sarria and Pedrables, with the bad traffic it can take a long time to get there. The online classes fix this problem.
