The SAT is the entrance exam students have to take to go to universities in the United States. Most student know the grammar rules, however the students often need to work on the punctuation rules. This is because the SAT tests very specific grammar use rules. Also in our regular high school English classes there tend to be differences in between the punctuation rules our high school teachers use and the ones tested on the SAT. Secondly, students need to learn all of the specific conjunctions and conjunctive adverbs like: therefore, however, consequently, nonetheless, etc. It sounds silly, but many students get these wrong on the SAT although they are familiar with the words.
